Conservation Volunteers Australia is Australia's largest practical conservation organisation and completes more than 1,500 conservation projects across Australia each year. Volunteers perform all of Conservation Volunteers Australia's conservation work - that could be you!

All Volunteer programs commence on Fridays, therefore you'll need to plan to arrive for this package on the Wednesday prior (at least!). If you have more time on your hands, additional nights can be booked for you - just ask us. |

Projects are usually labour-intensive (although you don't need to be in top physical shape!), and take place in both urban and rural areas. You'll work in all weather conditions so be prepared with appropriate clothing for the weather. |

As a CVA volunteer you are part of a team of 6 to 10 willing participants, so in addition to making a real difference to the environment it is a great way to make friends. The other volunteers on your team might be travellers, students, or locals who have lived in the area for years. |

You also receive a 2 night arrival package prior to your conservation work in Melbourne, Cairns, or Perth. This includes airport transfer, 2 nights dorm accommodation, 2 breakfasts, a half day city tour, and Nomads membership. What's Included?

* 2 weeks Conservation Experience: all meals, accommodation, project-related travel, CVA membership, wildlife guide book! Accommodation varies by location, but could include caravans, hostels, or camping. Meals
are simple: cereals, sandwiches, roasts, or pasta, and all are expected to help with preparation and cleaning up. Please advise if you are vegetarian or have other dietary requirements
What to Bring?
Although you are advised to travel as light as possible, you need to make sure you wear long sleeve shirt and trousers, wide brimmed sun hat and strong work boots when working. CVA recommends safety work boots with protective toe caps.
Also bring wet weather clothing, work gloves, sunscreen (high protection factor), camera, water bottle, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, mosquito net and toiletries.

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations have penalties as follows:
More than 30 days prior to arrival: 20%
30-14 days prior to arrival: 50%
Less than 14 days prior to arrival: 100% penalty (no refund).
