From 1 July 2010, all Fraser Safari tours are required by law to follow 'Tagalong' formation. With a lead driver & vehicle and a maximum of 4 vehicles per group, each vehicle has a maximum of 7 passengers and all vehicles are required to stay together.
Prices & local costs from 1/7 - 31/3/11:
Nomads Fraser Safari + 2 nights dorm - $299 + $70
Mad Fraser Safari + 2 nights dorm + Nomads MAD Card - $329 + $70.
$60 cash bond from each person required for vehicle. Food, alcohol, ice additional cost & organised the night prior to departure.
GO WHALE WATCHING! Save $85 when you add a half day whale watching tour to your 4 night Nomads Fraser package - normally $115 on its own, just $30 when added to our package ($329)! Please make a note in your booking. Whale watching tour available through November, at 8.30am or 1.30pm. Open dated tickets may be booked up to 3 days ahead - please note in your booking if you wish to keep your ticket open dated. |

We provide you with an itinerary which gives you the best times to see everything on Fraser Island but you don’t necessarily have to follow it. Some options for your Fraser Island itinerary:
* Swim in the fresh waters of Lake McKenzie
* Visit the Maheno Shipwreck
* Relax in the ‘champagne pools’
* Take a trek to the Hammerstone Sandblow
* Drive 4×4 along 75 mile beach
* Swim in Lake Wabby... that's just the start! |

You may book your trip OPEN DATED now, but we recommend that you book at least 48 hours prior to your preferred departure date. (Please note in your booking. Travel must be within same rate period)
You'll need to bring:
* a small pack (leave the rest at Nomads)
* sleeping bag (available for hire $10)
* insect repellent/sunscreen |

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED:
* Food, Ice & Alcohol (group usually shops together the day prior to tour departure)
* Compulsory $70 per person charge is payable on arrival for insurance, fuel
* $60 cash deposit for vehicle - this will be returned upon return of an undamaged vehicle.
VEHICLE HIRE CONDITIONS:
Clients wishing to drive must be 21 years or over & hold a current full drivers license for 2 years and be able to drive manual transmission.
CANCELLATIONS:
7-3 days: 25$ administrative fee
3 or fewer days in advance: No refund.
IMPORTANT: a compulsory Fraser Island Briefing is held for all passengers undertaking the Fraser Island Safari. The briefing is held at Nomads the day of departure at 6am. Any guest who does not attend cannot depart on Fraser Safari. |
